Septic tank
A septic tank is a domestic wastewater treatment system that includes a tank, grease trap, and pipes. The pit is used to store wastewater before it is treated and disposed of. The grease trap traps heavier solids, such as food and soap, to prevent them from entering the main drainage system. The pipes then connect the septic tank to the absorption field or septic tanks, which cause the wastewater to naturally seep into the ground to purify it before it reaches an above-ground or underground source.
